Taking time to smell the flowers

Today we spent the morning in Old Town Alexandria again. Kathy was having another Hounds on the Town event, and this one was a historic walking tour. It involved practicing a lot of sitting and waiting, ignoring other dogs, walking through crowds, not eating peaches off the floor (Alven failed that one), and learning some cool facts. Our tour guide was hilarious and we all had a lot of fun learning about the history of Alexandria. There weren't that many pups at this event, but there were plenty of dogs on the streets, so it was a very successful training session. Flash did wonderful and only reacted to one dog (a giant English sheep dog) that took him by surprise, but he recovered quickly and ignored the dog when Joe corrected him. We all had a blast and can't wait for the next event. In the picture above Flash is taking a moment to enjoy the flowers and the ambiance before we called it a day and made our way back home.

  1. Such a great picture of ol'grumpers! I think he would hate the thought of people admiring him, but we just can't help it. Your Gorgeous!
