I am the law!

Those who know me, or have read past blog entries, know that in my house I am the chief security officer. I am in charge of securing perimeters and making sure evil doers don't get in. Due to my recent illness I was forced to put my duties aside while I recovered. I didn't like it, but I had no choice. I could only hope that my parents would be able to keep things under control and hold down the fort as they say. Meanwhile I regained my strength and focused on getting better. But all that is behind us now and I am back and better than ever. That's right ladies and gentlemen I've returned and the first thing on my to-do list was making sure everyone knew it. That meant back to patrolling boundary lines for any weaknesses. The first place I checked was the house, but after that I had to expand into the doggy park in the back. Since we spend a lot of time there when we don't go to the big doggy park I always like to make sure it's safe for the family. I took my mom along to document my progress so that everyone would know that the law is back in these here parts.

I started by walking the fence and making sure there weren't any holes, or gaps that might allow anyone, or anything to sneak in under the cover of darkness.

For this kind of work it is important to be able to think like a villain so you can always be one step ahead.

Aha! I find a giant gap in the fence. I sound the alarm to let everyone know that this will require our immediate attention.

This is obviously the work of some kind of giant lizard. Their evil knows no bounds.

After barking at the gap for the required 3 minutes (as stated in my official security officer handbook) I tell my mom to get to work on the repairs and move on to the rest of the park.

I also pay a visit to the trees. They are the perfect spot for an ambush so you always have to remain vigilant.

This one looked very suspicious so I was sure to be extra thorough when I looked it over.

Here I giving the second tree a good once over.

Hmm...something smells fishy...I might have to call in reinforcements.

I recruit Alven and name him my deputy. He seems willing to learn even if he is a bit scatter brained at times.

Alven will undergo a probationary period as deputy while we see if it's going to work out.

Here I am giving him some training.

Flash's Tip of the Day:
Just because I don't like to wear the cowboy costume my mom got me doesn't mean I'm not willing to lay down the law.
