Hello people inside the desk TV!

My name is Flash Bernard Yeung Esq. III, but I go by Flash to my friends and family. If you are a very close friend than I will also answer to Flashy, or Flashikins, but you better be a close friend or I won't stand for such familiarity.

I am 7 years young and I am a smooth-haired black and tan dachshund. If you ever take a glance at the AKC website you will see there that it says:

Dachshunds were first bred in the early 1600's in Germany. The goal was to create a fearless elongated dog that could dig the earth from a badger burrow and fight to the death with the vicious badgers.

This is all very true and very wise. My mom always says you can't believe everything you read on the desk TV, but this you can trust since it is true. I have never met a badger, but I am certain I would meet this worthy adversary with courage and viciousness. This is the dachshund way. But I don't want you to think of me as only a fighter and protector. I am also a great lover of the finer things in life. I am a food connoisseur and a great expert when it comes to blankets and beds. My specialty are blankets of the furry variety, yet I am well versed in all things bed related. But we can talk more about that later.

First, I would like to explain what I am doing here in the desk TV. Sandra, my mom, also has a space here inside the desk TV that she uses to put up pictures and work she does as a way to keep in touch with our other pack members that live far away from us and I thought it would be good if I had my own area. As a dachshund I have many ideas and bits of wisdom that I feel it is important to share. By the way, always being right is also the dachshund way so you know that my advice is good advice. I will also share stories, anecdotes, my day to day observations on life as well as a "Tip of the Day." I feel that the canine point of view is a significant one and people can get so confused sometimes that it is good to have a better way to look at things.

Please feel free to leave me comments, or greetings. The life of the dachshund is a busy one so I might not always get a chance to answer questions, but I will do my best to answer any inquiries you send me.

It is now time for my afternoon siesta near the window so I must go. I don't want to get too behind schedule but I will be back later on. I think we have gotten off to a fine beginning.

Flash's Tip of the Day:
When offered a treat do not waste time acting coy as you do not know if they will change their minds and then put it on the table where you can't reach it. It is best to act swiftly and with great determination, but always take a moment to give them an appropriately adorable face. This will ensure a fair trade of goods and services.

  2. Flashikins, I'am glad to meet you. I have few questions.
    Do you have Mexico conections?
Are you in any kind of trouble? Your face said something like "How did you fin out..." or is this your regular face. Adorable anyway.
Are you a pack leader. How may members, in your pack, you’re managing whith that face?
