Fun in the sun

This past weekend we finally managed to get some sun action going on which was great. Mom and Dad took us out for long walks, playing in the doggy park behind our house, and time hanging out in the backyard. Spending time in the backyard is always fun because we can sit and watch the birds fly by, bark at people as they walk past, and do lots and lots of smelling. It is a very special treat now since it has been so cold. I guess someone forgot this is supposed to be the sunshine state.

Dottie enjoys the sun and the sites. She actually has her sites on some very specific visitors to our little pond, but that is a post for another time.

Alven and Flash enjoy lying down on the warm bricks. It is a nice feeling on the tummy and they have lots of interesting smells to explore.

In front is our water bowl, which Mom
brings out for us in case we get thirsty
from all our sun bathing.

Behind are Grandma's plants. She is still in denial that our crazy winter has killed them (she forgot to cover them up during the nights we got some frost). She still thinks they might make a comeback. We think maybe not.

We also like the way the brick feels so nice and warm on the toosh area.

Dottie likes to make sure to get good tail extension to ensure maximum surface area warming.

As you can see here Alven is also getting in on the butt warming action.

Mom tried to get a picture of Flash doing the butt toasting, but he just turned away in disgust. Gosh, some of us just don't know how to have fun.

Stay tuned for more posts on our fun weekend spent outdoors in the good 'ole sunshine.

  1. Well I am very jealous of all your sun. Its been very cold here in VA, and mom can only walk us in the afternoon. Something about "we can only go when its at least 30 degrees out"...sheesh! The only upside is that the cats and squirrels are also not coming out much, so I don't feel guilty about neglecting my backyard protecting duties. Have fun in the sun cousins!
